What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God made complete in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Jesus Christ is our Lord and every area of our life is subject to His Lordship.
"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
Salvation is the free gift of God but is given to us only when we accept Christ as the Lord of our life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Baptism with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, is for every believer, this empowers believers into a greater life of holiness.
"And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:4)
(Also found in Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2:4,38-39; 19:1-7)
Every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)
The Holy Spirit of God lives in each redeemed follower of Christ.
"So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." (Romans 8:8-10)
Sharing the Good News is the responsibility of every Christian.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20)
